For the Dutch launch of the newest Disney series ‘Crash&Bernstein’, a social game was developed by WEBER (together with strategic partner MediaRijk) for both Facebook and the Disney platform. The Crash & Bernstein game was primarily aimed at boys aged 6-12 years, but was also perfectly playable by girls. The overarching themes of the game were friendship, fun and a little mischief.
When the player starts the game for the first time they will start with the design of their very own ‘Crash’ avatar. This is an illustrated version based upon the original Crash from the TV series. The player can choose from six different sections so he or she can create a unique version of their own ‘Crash’.
After designing their own avatar, the player gets acquainted with the treehouse. This will be the starting place from which everything will begin. The avatar can also be found here. This treehouse is their own secret place. A secret treehouse is obviously super cool, but in the beginning of the game it’s still quite empty in terms of decor. Only an old TV (with information about the show and the game), a chalkboard (leaderboard), a safe and a rubber hammer (minigame 1) can be found. The aim of the game is to decorate the treehouse with more and more objects.
Two minigames: ‘Zoetsloper’ and ‘Helicopter Crash’.
