The BBC had asked WEBER to develop three HTML5 mobile games based on their own in-house brand ‘Justin’s House’. ‘Justin’s House’ is a fun and engaging pantomine show aimed towards children age 4 to 8. It stars Justin Fletcher, his helpful robot, Robert, a cheeky little monster and Dee Livery, a unicycling delivery lady. The goal for these three mobile games is to deliver the same ‘vibe’ that children know and recognize from the show to a mobile device for games. Each one of the mobile games focused on one of the main characters from Justin’s House: Justin, Robert and Little Monster.
Game 1: Fun with Justin
This game is an interactive animation application designed to make the player laugh. When the player clicks on one of the big items on the screen these items are splashed at Justin’s face. It will also cause him to show a funny facial expressions based on the different animations.
Game 2: Robert’s Robot Panic
Robert is very tidy, but known for being panic stricken. The objective of the player is help Robert in keeping Justin’s house nice and clean. Certain items in the screen (like the fridge, the oven, etc) will light up from time to time after a short animation started. Players can click on these items to clean them up. As soon as Robert sees the mess he will start panicking. The player has to help Robert and keep the room tidy.
Game 3: Paint with Little Monster
The object of the game is to help Little Monster paint a nice drawing. If the player touches anywhere on the canvas, Little Monster will start to splatter some paint on that location. If the player selects a different color from clicking on one of the paint splashes, the color of the paint will change too.
