Remia wanted a racing game for their Facebook page and asked the good folks at DailyDialogues and WEBER to build it. The idea was to get behind the wheel of the famous Remia ‘Frietbus’ and race through different time periods starting at 1969, the year Remia invented the ‘Friet-sauce’.
The game started with an instruction screen and character select for the game (players could choose between ‘Fred’ and ‘Joyce’ as the driver). Every time-period had a different way of communicating with the player and a specific look & feel for the characters.
1967 had a hippie version of ‘Fred & Joyce’ . The player needed to collect as many sauce-bottles and ‘Als Lekkerste Getest’ seals of approval, while dodging all the obstacles.
FULL DISCLAIMER: I wish we came up with the name ‘Need for Friet’. But we didn’t. Sadly we didn’t. DailyDialogues did. So there you have it!
