To promote the ‘Planet Run’, the biggest obstacle course event for kids in the Netherlands, the WNF and Disney teamed up with WEBER to create the Planet Run campaigne website and online game. Just like the real Planet Run, the concept for the game was an ‘endless runner’ where players need to jump over obstacles and dodge enemies (ok, that part is different from the real-life Planet Run) as long as possible, while collecting as many coins as they can.
Players took control of Wander, an overly-optimistic intergalactic traveler and his steed Sylvia. Besides jumping over the various obstacles Wander could also shoot his bubblegun as an alternate way to deal with the incoming enemies.
The player with the highest score at the end of the campaign received a ‘golden ticket’ for the Planet Run, granting the right to start the event as the first runner of the day.
